Weather Conditions: Warm, partly cloudy with scattered rain that varied from light to heavy.

The Riders arrived, were briefed, and began to place the flags as scheduled. There was occasional mist and even patches of blue sky every once in a while. We stood tall and silent as family and friends arrived.

Many of Ronnie's friends served with him but were unfamiliar with the PGR and were highly impressed by our presence.

Once the service began, the flags were taken down for transfer to the cemetery. Ghostrider briefed the riders and prepared for the escort while the trainee and the flag truck left for the cemetery for set up there.

As we began to place flags, the clouds darkened and the rain began to fall. The honor guard stayed in the shelter of the tent at the plot while three riders scrambled for rain suits. We then continued to place the flags. The riders in the procession were wet but all arrived safely.

Just before the arrival of the procession, the clouds parted and the sun came out.

The service proceeded under sunny skies.

I want to thank Maryann for allowing me to contribute to Ronnie's service by arranging for this mission. It is always a Rider's privilege to stand for a vet, but it it especially good when it is for a friend.
